My Evening Skincare Routine
I am so happy to have mastered my acne healing evening skincare routine. It’s taken me a lot of products and a lot of trial and error to get to this point. If you’ve read my acne healing morning skincare routine blog post, which I will link here, then you’ll know I’m sticking to products that lower inflammation and are cooling on the skin. You will obviously notice some crossover with products as I do use the same eye cream and serum day and evening, however, I do switch out and add in some other amazing products. Keep reading for the full breakdown.
It goes without saying that Tata Harper products are amazing. I like using this product on an evening because I like to stay away from active ingredients in the day. I don’t want my skin to be sensitive to the sun so I love this product on an evening. I find it cleans my skin, and the very little make-up I wear, all whilst feeling like a spa experience. It also has made a considerable difference in the size of my pores.
I don’t use this product everyday as I do find it quite strong, but when I do use it it really feels great. If I’m not using it, this is the point where I would do a face mask. I’m loving mud masks at the minute. I like the REN tonic when my acne is feeling extra scabby as this helps dissolve the scabs so my skin can get the most out of my hydrating and moisturising products.
This Antipodes Kiwi Seed Oil eye cream lasts for ages. I think it took me 5 months to get through my previous tub of this products. I like it because it’s super gentle on the skin whilst being really moisturising at the same time. It feels cool under the eye without being irritating. Love this product.
This Ere Perez Serum is currently my favourite serum. It feels like a green smoothie for the face which is how it is described. It’s very cooling and anti inflammatory for the skin from the main ingredients: “Desert fruit quandong contains twice the vitamin C of oranges and helps to reduce signs of lines and calm inflamed skin. Chlorophyll, spinach leaf, vitamin E, alfalfa and raspberry seed oil powerfully deliver essential enzymes and vitamin A straight to the skin.” It also has hyaluronic acid so is it hydrating.
Sometimes I find applying moisturiser can be an extra step, but I love this one as it is very cooling on the skin. I feel like it helps lock in the moisture of the serum and cools don my skin. Great for acne prone skin types.
This oil is my favourite product right now. I can’t finish my evening skincare routine without it. It’s helped plump up my skin and reduce the appearance of acne scars all whilst giving my skin the rosehip nutrients. Holy grail product.
What are your favourite products? I’d love to know.
