I’d thought I’d found my favourite natural and fluoride toothpaste before trying this one, and though I still love the Dr Bronner’s option (review here), this one is now my all time ride or die favourite. If you’re transitioning to natural toothpaste, this is one for you. It’s the most like conventional toothpaste natural option that I’ve ever tried. Jason as a brand is great, and so affordable. I will be reviewing more products by the brand as I try more, but for now keep reading all about this amazing vegan, cruelty free, natural toothpaste option.
UPDATE 28.06.2020: This is still my favourite toothpaste and I have been using it for over 2 years now. Highly recommend.
This stuff looks and smells like conventional toothpaste. That might be something you expect if you haven’t tried a natural option before, but many are non-foaming formulas, fennel or different flavours, or not very strong at all. This one smells like peppermint essential oil, and tastes like it too. It is quite strong to be honest, and keeps my mouth fresh pretty much all day. I also use a tongue cleaner which adds to freshness, and I’d recommend that to anyone using natural options. If you want a perfect toothpaste to switch from conventional to, this is your guy. Slightly more expensive at £5.49, but also reasonable for what you are getting.
As briefly mentioned above, this is a foaming formula peppermint toothpaste. The formula is white, and the texture is slightly gritty and looks quite clay like. When activated in the mouth by brushing it foams up instantly which makes it easy to brush. The product moves easily around the mouth, and although gritty it is not abrasive. It’s very minty, but not overpowering like conventional products. It also doesn’t break me out around the mouth like toothpastes including SLS do to me. My mouth feels very fresh after brushing.
This toothpaste is marketed as a whitening toothpaste and I have to agree with this statement. After using this product for around a month now I have noticed a difference in my teeth whiteness. My teeth are generally quite white from not drinking coffee or black tea, but using natural toothpastes for a while meant they started to get a bit yellow. I really think this toothpaste has made a difference, along with oil pulling a few times a week. I will be posting all about my dental routine very soon.
The packaging of this product is basic toothpaste packaging, and easy to squirt the product out of. There is a lot of toothpaste in the tube so it lasts for ages. Overall I would definitely recommend this product to anyone and everyone, and as it’s natural it can be used on children over the age of 2. Fluoride toothpastes aren’t as safe as this. This product is natural without any nasty chemicals which I love since conventional toothpastes give me ulcers, blisters and spots around my mouth. The product is vegan and cruelty free, it works, it’s natural, what more could you want?! Will definitely be re-purchasing for the rest of my life.
